Darcy Milligan

Jusidtsaigne ("Just Sit Sane") is a curation of songs written in 2024 that are the first seedlings after the storm of Tar Queen.  It is my only true DIY project to date -- they were written, produced, mixed, and mastered by me, and only me. While this production method shows off my full solo potential, it is not inherently sustainable; I find the most fun with music when I collaborate, so I am expecting this project to be one of a kind in my discography.

"A Roomba and Your Dog" took the longest in the collection to write but was inspired by one moment in time: being left alone in my parent's house with two of my childhood dogs, one of them "gone senile", as Big Mouth says. Did I mention he has separation anxiety?

"Juscidtsaigne" was also inspired by one moment in time: when I was sitting in a chair in a rehab facility with my extended family on the last day of my grandfather's life. I kept catching myself in my stiff and hinged posture, hence, "just sit sane". 

"Chicken Game" was written in excitement and frustration of the potential evolution of one of my relationships.
